Melatonin

Melatonin is a hormone produced by a part of the brain called the pineal gland. It helps the body to know when it is time to sleep and when it is time to wake up (regulates the arcadian rhythms of the body).

It can be used to treat insomnia (difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep) or other sleep disorders. It can also be taken to prevent jet lag, or syndrome of time zones.
